Instructions ...

for Easy Set-up:

  • 1. Position the drainage tray on the table where you would like to place the ice sculpture or ice bowl.

  • 2. Place the bucket provided under the table or semewhere out of the way. Be sure to put the hose from the drainage tray into the bucket. Note: The hose should not touch the bottom of the bucket. If the hose is too long, use scissors to cut the excess. The tray will not drain properly if the hose is laying on the bottom of the bucket.
**It's important to check the bucket periodically to see if it needs to be emptied.

  • 3. Place a cocktail napkin or folded paper towel into the center of the drainage tray. This will help to keep the sculpture or bowl from sliding around in the tray.

  • 4. Remove the ice carving or bowl from the box ... a towel will help your grip if the ice is slippery. Place the Sculpture or Bowl in the center of the drainage tray. (Please Note: To make breakdown easier later, we recommend leaving the nylon strapping handles attached to the carving.)

  • DECORATING SUGGESTIONS:

    - Fresh greenery or colored mylar may be placed around the tray to accent either ice piece - These are both available from Dreams In Ice.
  • -You can alsu use silk flowers
  • -Sculptures look great surrounded by lots of sweets!
  • -Besdies punch, Ice Bowls can be used to hold fruit salad, fresh fruit, cold salads, shrimp, oysters, bottles of wine or champagne, ... anything that you would like to keep cold!

  • WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF ANY MATERIAL THAT ABSORBS WATER TO BE PLACED INSIDE THE DRAINAGE TRAY!

Fabric will soak up the water in the tray and will transfer it to your table! Table linen or fabric should be used around the OUTSIDE of the tray only!

    BREAKDOWN OF SCULPTURE:

To breakdown ice sculpture, simply use an ice pick to separate the carving into smaller, easy to handle chunks and dispose of them either in a sink or on the front lawn! Or, if the carving is small enough to lift off of the table, just use the nylon strapping as handles and remember to lift with your legs and arms, NOT with your back. Also - Don't worry about returning the drainage tray, it's yours to keep!
